*watches flist go mad over new profile page*
You know, to tell you the truth? I didn't like it at first, but I've been beta testing it and I've gotten used to it. I mean, if I could go back to the way that it was, well, I probably would. But it doesn't make me want to claw my eyes out like it did at the beginning.
I really do think that everyone should watch
lj_design, because that's where they announce things like this and you get to beta them, which gives you a leg up in letting them know at the beginning what the problems are. If they've taken the time to put the thing live, it's going to be harder to get them to change it. Also, I hate to say it, but a lot of people have a knee-jerk 'omg do not want' reaction when change happens - it's been a consistent refrain over the years.
BUT. That said, it shall be seen whether my flist is a reflection of LJ at large or whether most people will just shrug the change off.
-flops- I think I'm going to have to get used to how rainy Vancouver is. Though it's only November... It might be just how dark it is atm, I'm not sure, though even that could be because of the time change, haha. I don't know.
Randomly, on the topic of the election - I know, I know, it's over, I should shut up about it - I have to say that one thing I've always admired about Americans is their passion for their country and their politics. The most recent Canadian election saw what was probably the lowest voter turn-out in years, while yours saw one of the highest. Your election made me cry, whereas I've never been that passionate about the Canadian government, and in the most recent election, while I voted, I didn't feel as though I had contributed to an era of greater change. I love my country, but I envy your patriotism.
