why is this country such a joke?
OK, I take back my last post, the major cable news networks covered the events in Pakistan later on in the day (they were playing reruns of primetime stuff at that time... is it so much to ask for a 24/7 news network though?). But the 'news' about Paris Hilton and how male mice are attracted to her was kind of disgusting. It was about how apparently they felt more relaxed while looking at Paris, and the 'expert' who was reporting on it said things along the lines of, 'Oh well the mice obviously aren't that smart, just like any human males who would be attracted to Paris Hilton.' I mean, I'm no fan of vapid spoiled celebrities, but come on. This is on the fucking NEWS?! Along with how Britney Spears is apparently a fat disgustingfuck. Oh right, I forgot, it's because women are sensible enough to not get involved in politics but not sensible enough to not fit some stupid standard of chaste hotness.
