for those of you who aren't familiar with centralia, HERE is a link with all sorts of info on it. for the tl;dr people, basically, centralia is a small town in central pennsylvania that used to be a mining town. back in the early 60s, some trash burning in an old mine went amiss and started a coal fire under the town that's still burning today.
centralia is populated by only about 15 people. there are no buildings, except the deserted municipal building, very few houses, and... grass. overgrowth. trees. the remains of a town. they don't even have a zip code anymore!
and smoke. lots of stinky, smelly, out-from-under-the-ground-in-random-places-smoke.
