Well, the 'friends and family' dress rehearsal went well - I think the
show is going to work just fine. We're running for the next three weekends, with matinée performances this weekend and next. This Sunday in particular should be fun, because there's some sort of street festival type thing going on in Old Town Bowie (apparently), which should be wrapping up just before curtain - and the area has lots of antique shops, and the
Retro Tea Shoppe is a wonderful, kitschy place to get lunch. I hope you can all get out and see it!
I've already begun to 'suffer for my art' - got a set of full tips for the show. I expected things to be a bit awkward for a while, but I'm surprised at how tender my fingers are. Apparently they hurt a lot when they come off, too... Oh, well. At least the costume disasters which I ran into on Wednesday seem to be over (I was just about ready to hack off my hair as well... didn't have time to, since the nails took so long to apply.)
Got in a 10 mile bike ride yesterday, which is good, since I've been slacking off this whole year.
For whatever reason, I haven't been getting comments e-mailed to me for a while (I thought you guys were just ignoring me...) I'll have to poke around LJ and see what's up.
