Druggie dog
Merlin's nails were starting to get so long we were going to have to teach him to knit if we didn't trim them soon. I had been putting it off, because he hates it. When he was little he would wiggle but not do much else. Since he has attained the size of a normal human, and has the strength of a rhino it is no longer so easy to keep him still for the 10-15 min grinding process made even longer by his movements. Sooo, having very little choice I went to see our vet about a sedagive. He gave me five pills and said "Give him all 5 and make sure you wait at least 30 mins after he takes them, they kick in kinda fast, but you wanna make sure he's nice and drowzy". I waited until after dinner gave him the pills and waited. About twenty mins later he was a stagering drunk. Mom and I laid him down and did his nails with quickness. It took a full 15 mins, but only because his nails were so long they were begining to get staring roles in foreign films. He was still swaving abotu a bit this morning, which made our morning walk oh so fun. Nothing like a great dane tripping out while watching the squirels hop around. Anyway, I found it highly amusing. love to all.
