Sadness in our house
Yesterday afternoon Aly's dog Bailey got out of our yard and was hit and killed on a main road by our house. We got a call from the police dept. because Bailey had a chip in her. The hardest thing I ever had to do was tell Aly that Bailey was dead. She cried for a long time and TJ and I just held her. Poor Bailey was only seven months old. She was such a sweet dog and was learning things really well. We think a neighbor boy opened the gate to play with her and she ran out. When he realized that he couldn't get her back in, he ran home. This is all speculation, but no one even used that gate all day and he is the type of kid who would let himself into our yard. So, we don't really know for sure.. We are not going to accuse him. There is no reason to.. it won't bring Bailey back. Aly is doing better today. Just kinda lounging on the couch with her laptop.
