(no subject)
Three days until Christmas! I can't believe it. We went WAY overboard this year. Last year we were getting gifts from Toys For Tots for the kids, this year we have enough money to make their Christmas a good one.
My mom and John are flying back to New York on Christmas day, so we are celebrating on Christmas eve. The girls father is coming over for dinner and we are going to open our presents at night. I can't wait to see the girls faces when they see what they got. They have been asking for skate boards for months now. The ones they want are pretty expensive and we keep telling them that if they want them bad enough, to do some work around the neighborhood to earn the money. We flat out said we were not buying them skate boards so they will be pretty surprised to open them on Christmas eve. Another thing they asked for that we said absolutely not is musical instruments. Macy asked for a drum set and Aly wants a guitar. The kids in the neighborhood want to start a band. We told them that they are way too expensive and we have no where to put a drum set. Macy protested and we said, "No, and that's final.." So, they are pretty convinced that they are not getting instruments! I really think that this is going to be their best Christmas ever.
My job is going great.. I love baby Ben! He is so cute! TJ switched jobs recently and is now an advertising executive, so the money is MUCH better. Hopefully, if things go as planned, we will buy a boat for next summer. The construction on our house is going slow, but getting done. We are in the process of re-doing our basement, upstairs bathroom, laundry room and we are waiting on chairs we ordered for the living room. Also in the works is getting new carpets and expanding the hard wood floors into the dining room and hall way. Little by little, the house is getting done. This spring we will finish the game room and by summer we will have a hot tub in the yard! And when all is said and done, our house will be perfect and we will be broke! =o)
Well, I have the day off today, so I am going shopping! I still have a few things to buy before Friday! Ciao..
