I heard a sermon last week that didn't really mean that much to me at the time. The speaker was talking about how God pushes people, and that we're not really fulfilled if we're not constantly moving in the direction God wants us to. This is to say that while we may become comfortable at times in our lives, it is not for us to choose to settle down and say, this is as good as it gets. This is also not to say that life is literally a non stop adventure, meant to be wandered through and filled with thrill seeking. The constant moving is metaphorical. It's a long a painful process, and you may never be done until the day before you die.
Facing new challenges and uprooting the life you've come to know and love isn't easy. Whether it's a new job, a new home, or a new relationship, moving away from what you love is hard. But now I see it's necessary.
Rome tomorrow, Rome tomorrow.
