Diminishing Love
In the newest (I think) US Weekly magazine, Jennifer Love Hewitt is on the cover showing off the fact that she lost 18 lbs. in 10 weeks.
This makes me kind of sad. Supposedly, she didn't lose the weight because of the criticism she got last year from those bikini pictures. The article claims she just wanted to become more active and healthy or some other bs.
I happen to think she looks beautiful here. In the new picture, she looks kind of sickly to me.
I've been a fan of Jennifer Love Hewitt's since the early '90s. She was on 2 different shows that didn't make it through a whole season (Byrds of Paradise and McKenna) playing a rebellious teen and I thought she was great. She seems really sweet and nice and genuine- like someone I could be friends with if I met her in real life. I actually think that one of my friends kind of looks like her... Anyway, I loved JLH on Party of Five. There's a story about how she used to have a huge crush on Johnny Depp and it was arranged that he came to the Po5 set and knocked on her trailer (I think) and had flowers for her. Anyway, when she saw him, I think she pretty much ran away and locked herself in her trailer for a bit because she was so overwhelmed/surprised/embarrassed/human. How cute is that?
I also watch The Ghost Whisperer and I'll even admit to owning one of her CDs. If I was going to make a list of "girl crushes" that I have, she'd be on the list.
I was so proud of her when she stood up for herself and how she looked in those pictures. For the record, I think that in the bikini pictures she was only a size 2 or 4 anyway. It seems like now she's succumbed to all of the stupid Hollywood pressure. I just hope that she stops with this weight loss and doesn't end up sick or worse.
I'm sure that all the guys who are obsessed with her boobs will be disappointed too since it seems like her weight loss may have shrunken them a bit.
On the US magazine cover, when I compared the small inset picture of her with the big one, at first glance I was like "OMG she WAS a little heavy!" Then I just looked at the small picture by itself though and realized that she just looks like a NORMAL girl. Besides, who knows how much of all of this is Photoshopped and airbrushed anyway? Another thing: if SHE supposedly need to lose weight, what does that make the rest of us?!?! *suddenly feeling like a big fat cow*
