Happy (belated) Birthday, Tom Welling!!!!
I wanted to post this yesterday (Monday) but I fell asleep and didn't get a chance to post it before midnight.
This is a really old picture, but when I first became obsessed with Tommy, this photo shoot was one of the first sets of pictures of him that I saw and it just made me love him even more! :-)
I hope Tom had a great day and was able to celebrate and enjoy his birthday. He continues to get better looking as he gets older!
ETA: There was a quote that I wanted to include here too. The other day at work, I stumbled across Batista's (the wrestler who played a phantom in Static) autobiography. I knew there was a Tommy-related quote in there so I looked it up. I'm sure you've all seen the quote before but I thought it was so nice. Here's the gist of it:
"I was real intimidated because I'm not a professional actor...But Tom Welling who stars as Clark Kent was more than gracious. He was helpful and very polite, making me feel at ease and giving me lots of tips."
That's our Tommy! I thought this quote was especially nice because Batista says that his overall experience on Smallville was not a positive one (I'm paraphrasing). Originally, his character was supposed to throw around Clark a bunch and basically kick his ass. Apparently, a lot of that got cut out in the editing room and there was really no big smackdown. I don't know if that's what made Batista say he didn't enjoy doing SV or if there were other issues or what. He doesn't really say...
