update and survey thingy

Hey okay so Merry Xmas and Happy New Year everyone, really really belated style.

So I went to New Zealand over Christmas break and I had a pretty good time. I met a gorgeous 14 year old Danish girl who is now my penpal. Sadly, no steamy hookups with gorgeous NZ men (and let me tell you, they are gorgeous) because I was with 4 adults all over 50 the entire trip. Mmm. Fun. I did make friends with an English boy named Jeremy though. I might put up pictures later if I am smart enough and figure out how to do it.

No semi prospects. As expected. No New Year kiss. As expected.

So I decided to do my very very first livejournal

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Bungy jump, mack it (eh, bad story), musical (off to the races!), i'm sure I ate a bunch of weird food, eh not much else I remember

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
according to my lj, these are my new years resolutions from last year:
I think my last resolution was to stop procrastinating. HAHAHHAA. That's funny. I also promised myself to stop complaining. I was actually doing really really really really really well on that for a good 3 or 4 months. It went downhill pretty much after that. I'm not even going to try to make resolutions this year

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
no

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My grandparents' dog Nicky, who I knew since I was 3, died. And I felt really bad for the dog because nobody ever really showed him much love. He deserved better.

5. What countries did you visit?
New Zealand! Hello! And Canada. And Tahiti.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
A freaking boyfriend.

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Eh, dunno. I'm absolutely horrible with dates. April 18, because that's my birthday.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting into Drama Ensemble was pretty good.

9. What was your biggest failure?
I'm perfect. I don't fail.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
A cold?

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Umm I'm really braindead and I can't think of anything right now. So I'll go with my nubra. Though that answer isn't true AT ALL.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My mother, who is the most selfless and generous person I know.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Eh, most of the rest of my family excluding my cousin. My aunt was pretty not so great in NZ.

14. Where did most of your money go?
In my little safety deposit box. Savin' up for a car!

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
First day of school!!! Summer sucked! I LOVE SCHOOL. Woowsa yay!

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
TOXIC. I can't help but dance whenever I hear it.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier by far
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter
iii. richer or poorer? Richer maybe.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Having a boyfriend. Which I didn't do at all.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinating to no fathomable extent.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
I was in a Bed and Breakfast in New Zealand and spent Christmas early night with my family and later night playing games with Stine (Danish girl) and Jeremy.

21. What LJ users did you meet?
Er, none.

22. Did you fall in love in 2004?
No.

23. How many one-night stands?
Too many to count...around 13409723640109736418.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
ANTM to the max! Eva rocks, by the way.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
A certain teacher...crap I might have to make this private since teachers are said to be roaming lj

26. What was the best book you read?
Ummm I guess The Laramie Project

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
That singing "In my Own Little Corner" for my Drama Ensemble audition was a BAD IDEA.

28. What did you want and get?
I got mostly money. But clothing from my mum.

29. What did you want and not get?
A boyfriend. 3rd time I said this in this survey and counting.

30. What was your favourite film of the year?
Garden State by farrrr.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Sixteen. I really didn't do anything special on my birthday at all. I was supposed to have a birthday party but I never get around to planning those. I procrastinate too much. I think I may have gone out to dinner with the fam.

32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A boyfriend.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Umm...I am kind of obsessed with earrings and a bit with necklaces... Other than that, I dunno. Kind of like your normal teenage girl minus the moccasin boots and von dutch hat and such.

34. What kept you sane?
My cousin's advice.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Um hello Jake Gyllenhaal will forever be at the top of my list. Forever. Actually, and I'm not even kidding when I say this, I want to become and actress partially so that I can get to him and marry him. But I heard that he and Kirsten are back together or marrying or something like that. I actually.had.a.breakdown. for 10 minutes and was at the verge of tears when I heard this. So now I refuse to believe it until I get news from their damn spokesperson. I'm crossing my fingers for a "no".

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Stupid ass elections. And I don't even care for politics.

37. Who did you miss?
I miss spending time with my cousin because I barely have any time these days to do anything. Booo.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
My new guy friends!

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004.
That everyone has a problem...no matter how much his or her life seems perfect.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"I just want your extra time and your (muah muah muah muah muah) KISS" (aka: I WANT A BOYFRIEND. Count = 5)
