Things went better than expected.
So the house that I wanted that didn't work out... worked out! The guy before me changed his mind again last minute and well, here I am. I live in a different part of town not really near the college which is kinda nice. I live with mostly dudes all my age- pretty sure none of them are in college and just work. It's nice, I feel like I'm taking a small step away from my college life (even tho I still live in Bham). Some is better than none? My room, unfortunately is mostly without furniture... however I just got a sweeeet IKEA desk. AWE YEAH. Craigslist rules.
I'm still waiting on one school district (even though school has already started, wtf). In the mean time I'm working as a housekeeper. Not as much money as the casino, but my coworkers aren't mean-spirited (AND THEY'RE ALMOST ALL FILIPINA)and I get regular breaks. I would be subbing (which I will start up if I don't get the band/choir gig out in the county) but you don't get paid `til the end of the next month and I need some money ASAP. It's not so bad so far. It's nice to get a break from customer service. I mean, I am A BOSS at customer service, but sometimes good ol' fashioned labor is just what a person needs.
I am soooo hungry. I really want ice cream.
