(no subject)
I have done something everyday this month to get my heart rate up for at least 20 minutes. Most days I have gone jogging and sometimes I even worked out twice in one day. I'm feeling pretty good. Tonight when I get back from work Duncan and I are going to go for a run. I still need to clean up my diet a bit more though.
Last night Jason was helping Alek with an essay...Jason went online to look at the example essay that the teacher had given the class to use and was dumbfounded by what he read. I posted the example essay on my facebook if anyone cares to read it. The fact that a TEACHER is stating such opinions blows my mind and angers me. And to have had my brother, who is gay, be the one to discover it, just hurts me. I believe my mom is going to bring it to the principals attention. School should be a safe place for kids. They should be able to talk to their teachers, not worry about being judged by them. I'm not saying it's not ok for this woman to have her own opinions and beliefs...it's just not ok for her to be bringing them into her classroom. Meadowdale High School is a public school, not a private Christian school.
ANYWAY.
I'm signing up for crew!!! That is, if they ever call me back... My friend Courtney and I are going to be taking lessons this summer for only $97! SOOO excited. It'll be great exercise and something different for two days a week.
