Shall we celebrate the green corn? Or eat the lush sushi? Skate my rollers off? See how far that new bike path goes? Just Tawk, like I did with
livingdeath?
I have a hunch this weekend, though unplanned, will be a good one.
It's been too hot this week for me to string sentences together. In my head, much less on a screen. This weather reminds me of why I'm not looking forward to being a Sydney-denizen, at least during the summer months. Public pools, though. I could deal if I went directly from an air-conditioned workplace into a cool blue pool. Or into the surf. Mmmmm, I think I could handle having my "cityspace" being at Bondi beach. I have to admit, I miss the Rabbit In The Moon. It's been awhile since I've been anywhere of interest. Maine and New York are planned for this Fall, I have hopes of adding P-Town and Montreal to that, but I think I just want to be. Someplace not-here, y'know?
BiCamp and L'Island next weekend. That'll be awesome, especially if I get to travel on my fave NYC bridge or see the Lady again. Even from a distance, I need my City.
Kinda weird, actually, hearing
beetiger talk about living in Boston, when I'm absolutely mad in my fervor to get over to her neck of the woods. Greener grasses and all that, I suppose. I just can't imagine Boston having an attractive quality . . . except for the people, I'll grant her that. There are some mighty neat people that live in that bland little town, for reasons none of 'em can comprehend.
