(no subject)
Gay marriage allowed in one state (or is it two? Can't remember Hawaii's status), a ban on abortion in another.
I find myself wondering if these are the first two major tugs. I feel like I'm hearing tearing sounds, but how many times, how many people have spoken about this (government, country, world) that's going to explode in mere moments? I won't repeat them, but it does seem that our society is seperating, drawing lines in the sand and backing away as quickly as possible.
The dichotomies are familiar.
Red/Blue
Rural/Urban
Poorest/Richest
Patriarchy/"Poor Defenseless Women & Children"
And so many others. I wonder what's next to rip.
