What the hell do "colors" mean, in a biker context? Can't post to that thread 'til I learn that. And a few of the others either take thought or a little bit of chatting with the players, so I guess I'm done with Roundabout for tonight.
I ought to gently poke
seeliefey and those two other possible new players, but I think I'll hold off on that. Ought to do a decent writeup of the setup for the next game, and get to work on L, but I think both of those can wait 'til early November. Not gonna be a huge response from communities, and at least one of those prospective players won't hand in a character in time . . . maybe not all three. Doesn't matter, all is well. If it's this chilly now, I can't count on it being decent outdoor weather. Hmmm. I'd rather have it at my place, but . . . well, I'll consider my options later.
The Storybook Ball did indeed kick ass. And we arrived just in time for dinner, which was yummy. Not oh-my-Gods-best-meal-in-years, but pretty damn tasty. We looked around at the other tables, chatted with the Hasbro people at our table, and had a bit of Lupin/Snape banter and a short dance, but the band wasn't playing wonderful music and we were both feeling pretty blah, so we left. Buckbeak is up in the attic, still not fully done.
Some other time I'll finish him, give him away, or both. Maybe sell him on eBay: he's definitely light enough to be shipped cheaply. And not all that big.
I have Halloweeny things to do Saturday and Monday, so I'm glad my costume is all set. Not that I'll win any prizes or wow my friends this year, but I like the prospect of more time in Lupin's skin.
Mmm, werewolf skin. Speaking of which, I think it's time to finally start my Crossroads character.
