Yesterday I was knocked out by some lovely combination of dehydration and a little bug. Dizzyness, headache, head full o' gunk, extremely sore throat. Today the gunk is flowing down. My throat's a little sore, but I definitely don't feel as shitty. As sicknesses go, this is a cakewalk compared to what I came back from Arisia with.
Coyote pulled three deer ticks off of me, two last night and one this morning. We'll see if any of them have re-infected me with Lyme Disease. I had a tick on each hip and didn't notice . . . that shows how uncomfortable I am in this body, which is still fleshier than usual. I am exercising like hell, I am eating better. I'm tempted to give myself a waist measurement right this minute, but I'm forcing myself to wait 'til July 8th. Measuring every day makes as little sense as weighing yourself every day: you'll feel discouraged if you happen to be fluctuating up for whatever reason. So I measure once a month. I hope I'll have lost at least half an inch by the 8th.
I do have a lot to write here, about seeing my brother's family and the grand roleplaying weekend in Virginia, but I think I need some breakfast first.
