I have nine Blue Jay feathers for my machinations. And lots and lots of other feathers with which to make things for the potlatch. I'm still stumped as to what to make. Maybe stunner arrows, if I can find some straight shafts. But would they travel well? Medecine pouches, headbands . . . they take too much time, if I'm to make ten in a week and a half. And I'm certainly not going to make ten pairs of moccasins or wampum belts, locally appropriate as they are.

What else did we do at Indian Camp? Carve a totem pole . . . nope. Meditate daily . . . nope. Help me, Google!

Damn it . . . can't find what I'm looking for. Well, maybe stunner arrows are the best idea . . . I just have to think about how to pack them so the feathers don't bend or break. And I must get to the park today, to look for straight sticks. If I can't find any, dowels will do. Elutul is certainly willing to use the benefits of the waischu world when it's necessary. Or fun.

Maybe something else will jump out at me in the park. All I really need to bring is some neat seeds or shells . . . but I don't have many of either.

native, elutul
