I'm tired. I think the cute little sculpey creations in my stove need another ten minutes. But they're smelling more done. I'm so tired.
Tomorrow, I have to go through my brushes and set aside the ones I wouldn't mind kids mashing. I only need three small sets of brushes: these are public school kids, they're used to sharing.
Buy brushes, buy painters' dropcloths, bring tape, bring shirts (oh yeah, they're in the car already), bring paint (but ONLY red, yellow, blue, maybe also black and white) and plastic cups. And cleaning supplies.
Phew, this is a lot of work. Lot of fun, but also a lot of work. I was supposed to start a major Roundabout scene earlier tonight. Didn't happen. Hopefully tomorrow night. Tonight I got to see Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on IMAX. Yes, a 6-story hippogriff is certainly amazing. But a 6-story dementor is FUCKING SCARY! I would've screamed a hella lot if Coyote hadn't been there.
He gives my hand the death-grip treatment on airplanes, I can return the favor when the scary music thrums and the rubber-faced monster jumps out. Mmmm, Eminem, as usual, is most definitely improving my mood.
FFF is coming up soon. I don't have anywhere to stay. Yes, staying at the hotel would be nice: just an elevator ride to a nap place. But I really can't afford it right now, and I don't know anyone who has space in their room.
missasuemay said I could crash at her place, but I haven't seen her online much. I think she's got an exciting life in meatspace right now. Does anybody else in the Boston area have a floor I can crash on? I have a sleeping bag and an airpad, I don't really need a couch, even.
But I do need to be in and out at odd hours, because of my volunteering. Well, early Saturday and late Friday night. Hmm. Maybe there'd be space in a hostel. I heard a lot of American hostels were hostile (pardon the pun) to Americans. I don't think my forgery skillz extend to Passports. Well, I'll just ask them. And send out an email tomorrow to my Boston-area friends. And send an email to the Wendigo list. And what? Yes, and start the thread that I will not yet call by name. Lots to do in Hiddenflame, but Roundabout is my snuggy-bunny. Can't wait to finish with this cold and spend all of next week writing for Roundabout.
Time to check the sculptures.
