I survived yesterday. I deserve a medal, or at least a sundae from Maximillian's.

Ugh. No, yesterday wasn't all horrid. Good things happened, too. Ummmmm . . .

I got to get art supplies for my kids.

I ran into some family friends at Rufful's.

I had a really yummy, very cheap (and kinda healthy) lunch at Rufful's. I keep forgetting about that place: it's like having a 50's diner in the middle of snob city. So weird.

I had a cool chat with ezrarashke over a cup of Chai. Reflections is an awesome place, I need to hang out there more often.

Why isn't Reflections on the Roundabout boards yet?

Well, I can add it tonight, I'm adding something else anyways.

After that, I sat at home and listened to really good Trance. When Coyote was ready for bed, he read me the story of Teeth In The Wrong Places, a Coyote story that he'd been telling me about for ages. And he didn't knock all of my teeth out afterwards. (Well, all except the blunt one that feels good.)

I tried to sleep, but stress was gnawing at me. So I beat it up with the help of my friend Mary, and after watching iTunes for a long while, I was able to sleep. Yeah, I know, Kava Kava or Valerian would've worked, too, but I was so damn eager to get the fuck OUT of that headspace.

My . . . dunno what to call her. The person who hired me gave me a ride home. As I was climbing out the car, she wished me a good drink.

It was one of those days. But I'm mostly pissed at my site supervisor. It was his bumbling that led to me having 18 kids. EIGHTEEN. We're supposed to have a max of 10 in each class, so that they get more individualized attention than they do in school. EIGHTEEN.

I even said, "Hey, do you want me to start calling subs from the list?"

"No, it's OK . . ."

ASSHOLE! If I'd known then that it was ME who was getting a double-sized class, I'd've started calling immediately.

*sigh* Well, it's done, it's yesterday, and I'm well within my rights to kick his ass if he bumbles that spectacularly again. The guy who was sick called in at 7 in the fucking morning. What idiot loses his cell phone and then doesn't check his messages until half an hour before the class? Fuckhead.

I'd love to have breakfast and wander over to the library immediately, but I have to sit on my ass until the last possible minute. The guy from the phone company is coming today. Yay. Step 1 of the DSL process is underway.

Shit, I need to buy an Airport and an Airport card for my eMac. MacMall will hook me up. And I've decided to ask the relatives who might possibly buy me presents to just give me money to put towards a new iBook. Let Coyote's PeeeCeee become a games-only machine, we'll still be able to both hop online, AND I'll finally have a laptop. Well, for the first time in 7 years or so, but that one was so old and crappy that I doubt it counts. It was basically a word processor with a few dinky games on it.

Yay iBook. Boo yesterday. Yay iBook. Yay iBook. Yay iBook!

I have a car, I have Sculpey . . . maybe today will be the first day we use it? I'm sure I could tie Sculpey into basic math skills somehow. Yeah, that's what we'll do. I desperately need a fun class today, and these kids are still recovering from 4 days of no school.
