So I'm exhausted but i felt like an update was in order..it's only 9 o'clock on a friday night..i should be doing something fun and exciting, alas all i want to do is pass out

Anywho I just wanted to say that I really enjoy TAing (ps TA = Teaching Assistant) this Bio class. I really like interacting with the kids and helping them out when i can. I also like feeling looked up to and smart even tho i may not know more than them all the time..i still feel smart. I know that sounds slightly selfish but it's true! I feel good knowing that I've already passed this class so i'm kind of a step ahead..it's not bad, is it? I also enjoy the other TA i help out with. She's really cool..Slightly older but she's still cool in my book. Her parents were diplomats so she used to move all the time (so we have something in common!) She was actually born in Hindi, India and has lived in the middleast a great deal of her life and eastern europe? i think. Today she enlightened me on how it feels to trip off mushrooms because there was seaweed out to try (we did algae and fungi in lab) and she said it reminded her of the trippy mushrooms haha. I must say, it was quite interesting and i'm curious as to what it might be like hah (but dont' worry.) She lived in Seattle, WA and apparently they grow wild all over the place in that area so she tried it a few times..During one of her 'trips', she was on a concrete wall and saw it crumble up in front of her..she also saw colors dripping off some poster or something..Haha. yeah. pretty crazy

but that was totally random..i enjoy teaching tho: bottom line. It really feels good. And i was so fascinated with everything in lab again! There were all these dried seaweed samples out and Bekah (the other TA) was laughing at me cuz i just stood there and munched on them like it was a normal thing. and they had Nori! I remember eating that stuff plain at recess in JP for some reason..none of the kids in lab really appreciated it tho. It's an aquired taste i guess. fun stuff. I must say i also have a much better appreciation for 'gross'seaweed and algae-covered rocks (hah) after being at the Shoals and learning about them 4 weeks straight..I found bryozoans on some seaweed and looked at them under a microscope too ..so much fun..oh man i need to stop (but seriously, google them cuz they're really cool looking! haha)

I'm eesilyammused, what can i say : )

peace out homes
