ii totally headcanon that max is a lot.dumber than mars based on. the fact that.mars would.never deliberately.have lit a candle he thought might bring childeating witches back from the dead

Yep, Mars is definitely the smarter counterpart. I think this is in part because he's mini-Mulder, where something in Max's life sent him in the completely opposite direction, so that he won't believe in the supernatural, but does believe in candy company conspiracies. Neither of them would win an award for common sense, though.

Poor Binx, having to deal with both of them at once!

And Syndi is awesome here. Love the last line.

yeah, max is all like herpderp this isnt happening and mars is like, this is totally happening GONNA POKE IT WITH A STICK and simon and danni are kind of in the background trying not to get killed by their best friend/big brothers spectacular lack of a survival instinct
