And it highlights an Eerie thread I don't think we've mentioned in the meta discussions yet...how Marshall goes from believing at the beginning of the series that if he can just get the right evidence to the right authority--the FBI, the President, etc--somebody will Do Something, to learning he may not be able to trust anyone.
and YES! like, hes all about getting the evidence together, but by the time theory of believability comes round and hes learned it can be faked, hes kind of soured on the idea of the adults around him actually helping him out, because no matter how much evidence he throws at them, he still gets ignored.
