The concept of one or two people waking up in a deserted world isn’t exactly original; I’m sure there was an old episode of The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits that did this very thing, and the idea no doubt goes back much further than that. In fact, what it really puts me in mind of is an episode of the classic 1990s kids’ show Eerie, Indiana, in which the very same thing happens when Omri Katz’s character puts his watch back an hour on the wrong day. Only there, he’s pursued by sinister binmen, not snazzy looking robots.
