Not gonna lie, guys; this is easily one of my top five. I still get really happy when I see Stephen Root in anything, purely because seeing him makes me think of this episode. Without further delay, prepare yourself for the amazing awesomeness of... Mr. Chaney!

Yeah, me too. I love that Dash is always the one initiating contact with Mars, and also Simon when he's knocked down by the werewolf, here but would clearly rather avoid it from anybody else...his "ew" reaction to Chisel is priceless!
They both reject the traditions of Eerie in a way even Simon doesn't
This is one of those episodes, like Tornado Days, that reminds you Simon is a native of this place, and Eerie traditions are the traditions he's known his whole life. If it weren't for Mars, he might have grown up taking the weirdness for granted.
until he's persuaded by cheerleaders - who he initally ducks from, lol - and...cows?)
The going over the back of the couch to escape the cheerleaders scene is the best.
I wonder whatever happened to the cow. I love that in the scene later in the Teller house, you can clearly hear it moo in the background.
Although Marshall's 'Huh, I wonder why Dash doesn't want to buy a ticket' is pretty dim. Like, he lives in a mill, is stealing food and is keen enough to avoid detection that he brings out the electrodes.
This is one of those times when the most logical explanation totally escapes Mars. No, clearly the mysterious stranger who doesn't have money and doesn't want attention must not buying a lottery ticket because he knows something the rest of us don't!
He also steals stuff other than food, which is odd - whether it's a psychological thing (I think he takes a magazine in this episode, and a ball in the next) or a desire for attention or to spite Eerie or what...
Also, I think, an eggbeater. I wish we would have had more episodes. Is he stealing stuff for no reason? Does he actually have as much knowledge of what everything is and what it's used for as his skillset when it comes to navigating the real world without memories would otherwise suggest? Is he building something, much like Ned and his giant TV/portal thing, and is at least some of this stuff being used to do it?!
Also...how is the Mayor aware of him?
Aware and concerned enough about him to be asking around about his name, which "nobody" seems to know.
Does Mr Chaney age? Since he seems to have been doing this for a long while, unless there are several Chaneys like there are Radfords.
I always thought it was the same guy, which is interesting for his character. Given that he's been cured, even though the gang didn't kill him, have they ensured he's going to age and die someday now?
Dash to the rescue once more! I love this, very fairytale, especially Marshall's 'it's you!' ala Beauty and the Beast. And Dash is so embarrassed about it!
I adore this whole scene!
Dash also helps up Simon when he's downed, adopts the Mars nickname for Marshall, and Simon groups him in with Marshall when he tells them 'I'm okay, guys'; just like grace notes that there's a slow kinda-friendship developing there.
And Radford, who's been so hostile to Dash up 'til this point, just kind of lets him hang around once he's established himself as part of Mars and Simon's group.
I also love how at the end, when Mars is ready to walk away, it's Dash who forces him to sit down and drink the cure.
