Deadline is reporting that the upcoming fourth season of Channel Zero will be subtitled The Dream Door, with the season centered around Charlotte Bywater creepypasta Dream Door.
The season will follow newlyweds (and childhood best friends) Jillian and Tom as they discover a strange door in their basement that weaponizes the secrets the two brought into their marriage and threatens not only the sanctity of their relationship, but their lives.
Set to play landscape designer Jillian is Maria Sten (Persuasion), while Brandon Scott (Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block) will portray Tom, a thoughtful man whose childhood home the couple moves into. Also joining Channel Zero: The Dream Door as Steven Weber (Chasing Life) as Jillian’s quiet, hard to read therapist Abel and Steven Robertson (Elementary) as Ian, Tom and Jillian’s neighbor who becomes involved in their experience with this strange door.
Heading into the final season of its recent two-season renewal, Channel Zero is part of a scripted slate that includes The Expanse, The Magicians, Krypton, Wynonna Earp, Killjoys, Van Helsing, 12 Monkeys, Z Nation, and Happy!.
Channel Zero: The Dream Door is set to premiere later this year on Syfy.
