memo to me

the next time I decide to make anything for a pot luck, I need to start early enough that it's finished, cooled, wrapped and put in the car a full ten hours (or more) before it needs to be at its destination. that way I have time to discover things like THE HEATING ELEMENT IN THE STOVE IS BROKEN and can make new plans if necessary.

gods I hope this coffee cake comes out edible.
