Carrie Underwood & Little Big Town

It's well known I'm not a country music fan. But I usually try to be open to at least hearing the songs.

That said, I admit Carrie Underwood can definitely put on a show. I mean, the girl can sing, interact with the crowd and have a good time with the show. Even the little girl she brought on stage to sing with her was a cute touch as well as the opening with U2's "Beautiful Day" blasting over the speakers.

However, all praise from me stops there....well, it was praise until I heard her cover of "Won't Get Fooled Again" and I had to cringe when she attempted the Roger Daltrey yell during said song. You just don't touch that song in my opinion. And just when I thought she'd only have the one cover, she busted out "Paraside City" ....again, she doesn't have the raspy pipes to cut that song in my opinion. I admit I'm very stubourn when it comes to covering songs. You have to do it justice, or what good is it really.

One final note, Little Big Town puts on a great opening act. I even recognized one of their songs and (from what I know) they played it well. Then again I love it when the crowd sings as loud as the band. :)
