The Diamond
Just returned from working a two hour Neil Diamond show. I have to say, hands down one of the best live shows I've ever seen. I'm one that only knows the hits, so to keep me entertained throughout the entire show is a huge plus. It's like he added the hit songs here and there and then just blasted everyone away with them at the end.
I suppose my favorite moment was the crowd singing along to 'Sweet Caroline' - so good so good so good! 'Cherry Cherry' was perfection with everyone bopping around. 'I'm a Believer' sounded really good live as did 'America'.
It's not often we get a big time show to play here, but when we do it's usually fantastic! I got paid for working at the show tonight, but I'd definitely pay money to see him again anytime.
The last two shows for Diamond were for about 20,000 fans, tonight it was for 8,000. I call that intimate for a man like that. Hopefully we'll get more quality shows like this one in the future.
