Derek isn’t exactly sure how long they’ve been doing this particular dance. In the beginning, it was just because the sandwich shop is the only place within three blocks that doesn’t either deep-fry half the menu or attract hordes of hipster college students, leaving their trash everywhere and yelling over each other like it’s a competition over who can be the most obnoxious.
He only gets an hour away from the office every day. A little peace and quiet wouldn’t be too much to ask, and That’s a Wrap isn’t too pretentious. Sure, it boasts organic ingredients and locally-sourced meat and cheeses, but the seating consists of three long benches and some counter space, and chart radio is usually the soundtrack of the day.
So yeah, in the beginning that’s what it was. It only took about four days into his first week for Stiles to show up. Then, Derek had an entirely different reason to keep coming.
