Beautiful Finches!
Salad is good for you! I still prefer Sweet Tomatoes to Souper Salad, but getting back into the regular Wednesday Night Salad is great.
Yesterday, as I was driving in to the office, a local radio station announced a winner of a contest, and they named someone from my work! I think it was part of the "at work network" where you win prizes for you and your office. I raced in, and tried to find her in the Product Development group, hoping that she still had time to call and get the prize. I didn't see her nameplate anywhere, so I asked someone.
Turns out she no longer works there! Hahaha! Take that, high turnover rate! You cost us lunch... or something. You never know when people around you are suddenly going to be gone.
The niger seed birdfeeder that my mom got me for Xmas has finally attracted some attention from the local birds. I want beautiful finches! The Goldfinch in particular. I've been disappointed the last couple of weeks that nobody's come to visit.
Today, since I was staying home anyway, I opened up the window blind and noticed lots of birds hanging around, either clinging to the feeder or waiting down below for some seeds to spill.
I think I saw some House Finches and House Sparrows
Plus the usual annoying Grackles.
I just hope the roaming cat doesn't eat them.
