I had an amusing exchange at PCon with a friend of mine.
Her: When are we gonna see you presenting at one of these things?
Me (flustered): Oh, I don't think I have anything to say!
After we both stopped laughing, I found myself pondering (and I continued poking at the idea the rest of the weekend). I do, as she rather politely pointed out to me once she stopped cracking up, have a lot to say. But do I have stuff I could talk about in an actual presentation in front of strangers?
I've been studying the philosophy of Aikido for quite a while now, and finding there's a lot of overlap between it and the mystical side of Paganism (the same way that mystics of just about any tradition have a lot of overlap). Is that something people would be interested in hearing about? I mean, I'm happy to talk Aikido til I'm blue in the face, but I want it to be useful.
We'll see, I suppose. I'll keep poking at the idea and thinking thinky thoughts, and see what comes of it.
