Alright, now for a real update

My weekend was kind of crazy, but in a good way. Kandice and I got up early on Saturday to have breakfast, get my second fitting done for the bridesmaid dress (it looks awesome!), then went shopping (and spent way too much money at Claire's - curse my obsession with earrings paired with their buy 2, get 1 free deal) and had lunch at Chicken E. After that, I went back out to Wal-Mart with Andy and helped him buy medicine (we're all falling apart here!) and then picked up Kandice again to watch Crystal's softball game. That was WAY fun! After a little while, we had dinner and then Andy and I went to our friend Josh's house to watch Sin City. I'll just say that aesthetically it is a way cool movie...and I didn't not like it, it's just not really my kind of movie. And Elijah Wood was way creepy in it. Like...beyond creepy. Ew, I'm going to stop thinking about him now.

Sunday morning was church at good ol' FBC. It's way weird to be in there without the hundreds of kids running around screaming - but I guess with all of us college kids in there, it's just a different kind of crazy. I love Jennifer Dennis and the college ministry there...I just wish I enjoyed the actual service as well. So I'm torn... Other than that I spent most of my day in my room, doing random things. Read a little bit, watched some TV, bonded with Molly...it was good times. After an amazingly amusing dinner, Crystal, Dakota (who is rapidly becoming one of my new favorite people), Andy and I went to Andy's room and watched many episodes of Celebrity Jeopardy online (hooray for Myspace videos). And that was basically the extent of my day.

Advising starts this week, but because I am a freshman I have to wait until Monday to schedule my classes. Grr on that. I have everything already planned out, all I need to do is submit my schedule to the registrar and I'm set. So if I have to wait until next week and my classes are full, I'm going to be sad. Real sad. I'm planning on 17 hours - hopefully it'll be good. I'm way excited about my new classes and the new major and all that good stuff...

I received an e-mail today from Heather from Waco, the children's minister at Mrs. Carpenter's church. She said she was really excited that I was interested in the summer internship and wants me to come to Waco sometime so we can meet and get to know each other. :D I'm way excited! I really hope this works out. Andy offered to go with me so I won't have to drive to Waco by myself (not that it's that far...but still, it gets boring) because his sister lives there...so he'll hang out with her while I meet Heather and then I'll finally get the chance to meet Tori, too! And THAT would be way fun. So yay for that!!
