Sasuke's birthday and love-thoughts.

Yesterday was saucekeh Sasuke’s birthday. I thought it was really nice: Asuma-sensei took me and the rest of my team out to this long-deserted house out in the middle of practically nowhere to get there early and help set up decorations for the party. On the way there, he had explained that what we were about to do was a special kind of training, but I had a feeling that we weren’t going to train at all yesterday, it being Sasuke’s birthday. Of course, Chouji and Shikamaru did nothing but complain the whole way there: “I’m hungrrryyyy.” Or “This is so troublesome,” or “There had better be a lot of food there!” over and over. It was enough to make a woman go crazy. Once we arrived there, Asuma-sensei explained that our “special training,” was really another way of saying, “Help decorate for Sasuke’s surprise party.” Of course, Shikamaru groaned something about all the troublesome work and Chouji complained about food. [sigh]

As their leader, though, I told them to get over it and help decorating - I made them create banners and help me hang up ribbons and a lot of other pretty things to decorate the room with, while Asuma-sensei and some others from our class helped set up food and drinks. After awhile, more and more people started to arrive, placing gifts atop a table set aside near the doorway. As soon as I realized that I didn’t bring my gift, panic struck me.

“I didn’t bring my gift for Sasuke! What’s he going to think?” and what could I have done? It took us about 45 minutes to walk from our normal training ground to the house. By the time I went home to grab my gift and get back to the party, Sasuke’s surprise would have already been taken care of! I looked around for Asuma-sensei, searching the room for him, when suddenly; I felt a tap on my shoulder.

“Ino-chan?” I looked behind me. “Isn’t this yours?” Asuma-sensei held up a little blue bag, with a ribbon designating Sasuke’s birthday present. I was so incredibly happy, I threw my arms around Asuma-sensei to give him a thankful hug. Sasuke would receive my gift to him after all! I ran over to the table and placed my gift upon it, then took my place by the door, awaiting Sasuke’s arrival.

While waiting for him to show up, I couldn’t help but wonder if today would be the day I would get a kiss from him. I smiled and my cheeks flushed a little at this thought. Sasuke kissing me… I know it will happen someday, but will today be that day? I hoped it would. “Hey, Ino! What are you so red for?!” I heard Chouji cry; muffled through the food he was shoving into his mouth. Ugh. I snapped out of my daydream and turned to scream at him, explaining that I was just hot and that it was none of his business anyway. He became confused and decided to go back to shoving food into his face.

Anyway, after awhile, that time came: Sasuke threw an ‘exploding note’ bomb into the room, but it was defective. Asuma-sensei explained that Kakashi-sensei replaced his explosive notes with fakes, for just such an occasion. I became anxious, ready to scream out, “Happy Birthday, Sasuke!” at any second, and did so as soon as he entered the room. He seemed so surprised. Of course, immediately after he came in, big-forehead loser sawcraw entered the room, rushing over to give Sasuke a hug and to wish him a happy birthday. Again, Sasuke looked so angry, like that completely ruined his day. And who could blame him? She’s ugly and stupid.

After a short while of small talk and trying to get Sakura to leave Sasuke alone, the time to give him our presents came. Of course, I handed my gift to him with a big smile on my face, knowing that he would just love what I bought. He didn’t open any of the gifts right away, but that’s fine with me. I would hate to get something I didn’t like and have to fake a smile in front of everybody. Soon after that, cake was served and I decided that if I were going to get a kiss today, I would have to get close to him. Wherever he was, I was there as well, trying to get him to talk to me. It was a hard job! Every girl in Konoha was trying to steal kisses from Sasuke, or trying to talk to him. It was pathetic. Don’t they realize that if Sasuke wants to kiss them, he’ll kiss them and that he wants to kiss me?! It makes me so mad.

Unfortunately, though, the party ended without me getting a kiss. I was disappointed, but I know that it’s meant to be and that it will happen someday. Sasuke went home and Chouji, Shikamaru and I had to clean up everything. I was too tired to write in here yesterday, so I just went home and fell asleep.

Today, as I was walking to where I usually meet up with my team, I noticed team 7: Sasuke, Naruto and Ugly-foreheaded loser. Naruto was desperately trying to get Sakura’s attention, as usual. And, as usual, she was completely oblivious to this. I started thinking to myself just how perfect they are for each other. They’re both annoying, Sasuke and I don’t like them, they’re both pretty dumb, they both have thick heads (physically and mentally), and they’re both completely obsessed with someone they’ll never have. Sure, they’ll have ugly babies, but I believe they’re meant for each other. Naruto seems to really like her, and I’m sure that if she paid attention, she would return his feelings. He seems like he would do a lot for her, and I think she would be happy.

Who am I kidding? I don’t care about Sakura’s happiness. I just want her to be with Naruto so she would stop focusing on Sasuke so damn much!

Anyway, I’ve written a lot. I’m tired, hungry and have to go on some kind of mission, plus work at the flower shop for my parents after the mission tomorrow. So, goodnight. ♥
