What else would be so awesomely cool/thrilling/useful...and be a real job?

I assume this is not about you. Otherwise I would have said go into the PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY! I actually don't think being a pilot is all that cool/thrilling/useful. Useful, I suppose I'd have to agree with. But the rest, I don't know... I have about 4 commercial airline pilots in my family and their jobs are getting shittier and shittier. They miss the good old days, in the 70s-80s, when flying was still glamorous and girls flocked around pilots. Now they're just like truck drivers. So I guess the person could be a truck driver? Actually, I've always been very impressed by hypnotists and magicians... But that's probably not what you had in mind.
