Trying something new... And keeping track

Aug 20, 2007 23:33

So here goes.

I want to be productive again and not waste the last 2 weeks of summer. I don't feel that I've wasted the earlier parts of summer, I just feel that I havent used my time as well as I could.

I'm starting a new spreadsheet of daily tasks. I'll add some here and there as well.

So far, I have spent 3 days in a row working on the back room. Even at 10 minutes daily, it's already much better. I will be donating some stuff to wherever I can (Salva's or somewhere's else) and then perhaps sell some stuff on ebay perhaps, but mostly will be getting rid of things that I havent used and such.

Today, I worked out for a half hour, and that was cool, and I also did some laundry..

Also on the daily task lists will be keeping a journal too..

Basically, the reason I'm doing this is because of my dad.

5 years ago, the man barely made it down the aisle to my wedding.

Today, he walks almost 2 miles a day with Casey...

Dad started this year with a goal of walking a total of 200 miles.

He also keeps track of his progress every time he completes some of it. Or once daily and such.

He started small because of the winter and such, and gradually built up to more length and repetitions.

Today he's already past 300 miles... He just increases the yearly goal every time he makes it.

Also, my mom walks damn near 5 miles a day and stuff... It's sad to think my parents overall are probably in better 'Total Health' than I am. Sure, I could do a lot more activity than them but they're doing much better overall for certain.

That's why the changes... I really want to live a life full of quality AND quantity. And that's a beautiful thing to do. SO, that's what I'm going to do.

Tomorrows task additions are: Music time as well as School time (get some lesson plans done etc).

It's a start. Life is good.
