Ok, now for an actual post
First of all, I'm really excited because I had an inspiration for a series of pencil sketches the other day. Now I just have to find a sketchpad and I might have to invest in colored pencils too, but the basic concept is just plain old number 2 pencil, so I can probably get started this week sometime. Due to lack of time and money and inspiration, I haven't really had a project to work on for several years now and it seems weird to me that the people that I am closest to anymore don't even know this aspect of an Eeka. I just hope I can get them to work out the way I want them to.
Saanna officially got a boyfriend on Friday. I don't know much about him but his name is Ezra and she got to see him last night at the school musical that she went to with her friends. When we got home from picking up Ashy, I asked her if she said "eww!" She just laughed and said she didn't and she smiled really big. Ezra is now officially the first boy who did not get "eww" as a response for kissing Saanna. I feel like, as a parent figure, I should be worried about all the implications of this and blah, blah, blah . . . but she is SO happy. I know that can come crashing down, I've been in junior high too, but I can't remember the last time she was this happy. She's smiling and laughing and even fixing her hair in more than a pony tail to go to school. She's been kind of depressed because of a lack of friends and social life, but when we try to get her to do something about it, like go out to Bucky's after school or something like that, she doesn't want to. He's only fourteen, but I'm good with that. :)
The only not so good news I have, is that Patricia is pregnant again. I'm not really sure that's such a great deal with Jeremy's history. She's only one kid away from being the newest ex-wife now, right?
Time to fix breakfast and then dig up a sketchpad.
