WE'LL REMEMBER YOU. . .

Yesterday was a gloomy day at my school, my own guilt is overwhelming for not have been present to be a part of the gathering for him. Saturday night I was informed a fellow classmate of mine, Christopher Rodrigues had passed away through suicide. I did not know him personally but even that news was a shock to my mentality. It seems no one had expected this to happen but... I guess we can all agree that death occurs unexpectedly. My mindset has been completely off since I heard the news and many people who have and have not known him well at school were all affected. We spend most of our day and time at school with the people and teachers that go there. Sometimes moreover the amount of time we spend meaningfully with our own families. And that is what I see my school has become... One great big family; whether we realize it or not.

The school gathered for an assembly where all the grade twelve students were called down to attend. Many cried throughout the day but overall we all seemed like a group of zombies. People taped balloons and roses to his locker and filled every inch of space with permanent marker writings of their grief and farewells. The school Chapel had a wonderful setup of lit candles that illuminated his picture. I was able to sign in the large notebook they had there as well as in a card my religion class had made, expressing my sorrow for him.

Chris a.k.a. Capo was a very talented young man who not only expressed himself freely but was very good at free styling [rap]. Many people in my school knew of him through his musical outlet and if not first-hand experiencing his undeniable talent, they were all then introduced to Capo's skills in our school's Comm Tech class channel DYTV where he was featured as a "rising star".

He will be forever cherished in the hearts of all and
He has made an impact for everyone

Rest In Peace,
As we mourn your passing, the other side celebrates your arrival.
