Update, update, time to update.
Fairy Festival...was lovely. Always nice to spend a day in the sun with friends and fae people. Vendors didn't really have anything this year that just screamed "Oh my god! I want that!" My usual print artist wasn't there, either, or else I would have kept up my tradition of buying a print from her. All in all, had a good day, cruisin' on up to the sounds of 80's TV theme songs and cruisin' back to 80's songs while my fae crew snoozed peacefully:)
Got a letter from NJ Dept. of Ed. They just need my Praxis scores to approve my NJ license. Those are on the way. I am on top of it! Granted, my plan is to find a job near the border and commute in from PA which limits me to certain counties, but it certainly might open up more choices than I have here! Besides, who can afford to live in NJ anyway?
Debble, Demethos, Gerade, and Dan and John Gladfelter(from Von Draken) came up tonight to have dinner with Kutz. We went to Red Robin and had a nice dinner. Thank you, Debble and Demethos, for making the drive up. I know it was a bit of a squeeze with getting out of work and blazing a trail up the turnpike at that hour of the day. I am sorry we are always so rushed, but I know you understand that we are constantly watching the clock so he can be done dinner by 6:40pm and back to work release by 7pm. We haven't got that much longer, though. If everything goes well, we should be able to have a leisurely dinner with him in early July:)
And the days go on as I try to set up my independent study with my teacher, ignore the nagging feeling as I wait to hear back about the Lansdale Festival of the Arts (come on May 15th!), and chomp at the bit as I continue to send out applications, resumes, and cover letters once again to get hired as an art teacher.
