still alive!
No pictures in this post as internet is sloooooow. In south west Utah doing the trail thing and bumming rides to cool places. We're right by Zion and Bryce and a good deal of equaly impresive, but lesser known, scenery. Our bunkhouse is a nice litle modern duplex up in the mountains. Our daily comute is a short drive to the trail head and a hike or horse back ride in. We've just been hiking for now, but it sounds like we'll be on horse soon enough. The first three weeks was training and not much else, but now that's done (thank heavens). We got one big project to do (with lots of rocks to push around), but we'll be mostly just triming back brush and sawing trees off the trail. No chance of pictures going up anytime soon (see above, internet is slooooooow). I will out here until August 18th and then flying back. After that... who knows.
So in short I am enjoying life to the fullest at the moment. I think if I could find a way to make a career out of being a hobo I'd jump right on. Trail crew's a great job and there's just way to much scenery in the world that needs to be seen. Sticking around the East Coast next summer, but I think Hawaii might be the next state I try to hit.
