Title: Hetalia Chess
Category: Axis Powers Hetalia
Rating: T
Genre: Romance/Humor
Character/Pairing: USUK, Franada + Allies
Word Count: 1,524
Warnings: The amount of times I've played chess can be counted on one hand. OTL. Not to mention I lost in like three turns SO chess!fail ahead I'm sure. Just tried to make sense of the game through wiki but didn't really get anything at the end so yeah just a warning. xD Also this probably has a lot more mistakes then my usual work because I wrote it in two parts while I was bored so sorry about that.
A/N: OKAY SO HEAR ME OUT FIRST! This started when someone posted about making a Hetalia chess set on the Hetalia comm. and kind of snowballed from there. The person wanted to have America as the King and England as the Queen and I ran with it, thus this crack being born. Just me being a HUGE dork.
Summary: The Allies as chess pieces on a board bickering and maybe coming to terms with feelings? America wonders why he is the king and not a knight. The question really is why is England his queen? Cracky, fluff-filled premise.
-----------
The piece moved back and forth on his square. The King was restless.
"Oi idiot, stay in place for god's sake!" The Queen rocked herself so that he was a little to the side of where the King was, making sure he didn't make an asinine mistake by moving a square, not that he could with the pawns in front of them, but it didn't do any good to have him move in any case. It wasn't because he was worried for his safety though, no definitely not that. The unlucky pawn to be placed in front of America only grumbled as he came closer to his square.
"But England I want to move. This isn't fair, I totally should have been a knight. Why does Australia get all the glory? And look at Mexico, she's a girl for god's sake." Australia merely smirked as Mexico replied.
"Ey! Cabron que estás diciendo por ahí!"*
"Dude Mexico you know I can't understand a word your saying." the American piece whined, still rocking forth and edging himself closer. Mexico knew full well that he did but she let it slide. The pawn began to grumble louder about stupid Kings, but America couldn't hear him over Mexico's reply.
"I said shut your trap and let us defend you oh mighty King of ours." Her voice was teasing now. She was getting a kick out of this. America continued to pout and England continued his quest in getting him not to move.
"Relax mon ami, I wish I were you and could be defended by such note-worthy individuals. Oui, why can you not feel the love emanating from your beloved Queen alone?" At this England stopped in his tracks. He had been attempting to block America's path forward by himself, but now turned his attention to the Bishop, the irony never quite losing its flair whenever he thought of him as such.
"What the fuck frog! Shut your stupid mouth, who would want to do such a thing!" At his words he rocked himself back to his original position before deciding to rock himself to the furthest end of his square, away from America. A red color could be seen shining across his piece. Mexico snickered at the sight, with England so close to her square she could clearly see that France was right. The comment however managed to stop America from moving forward, much to the pawn's relief.
"Heh you're really funny France." America laughed awkwardly darting a secret glance at his Queen who grew even redder at the action.
"And to be side by side like that," France continued in a dream like voice ignoring both of them, lost to his romantics, "What I would give to be next to my dear Matthew, but we are destined to be driven apart by this board." The Bishop in question also grew red causing China to notice him there and jump back.
"Ah! I did not see you there, aru." Canada merely sighed rocking himself back to his former place.
"Geez, France I told you before to stay away from my brother you pervert!" America was glad to have something else to focus on.
"But nothing can stand in the way of l'amour~"
"France I think I see some easy pawns over there for the taking." England piped in.
"But England those are where the other knights are..." Came Canada's quiet response.
"I am not a fool mon cher, besides obviously I cannot move at the moment with these lovely pawns surrounding me~" The pawns for their part wondered how they ever got stuck defending such a group of morons. "In any case if you're looking for strength mon cher, then you should have been Queen!" France snickered, "I mean in terms of value it is the strongest on the board, technically until the end~" America turned to England, the piece stumbling a bit on his square at the sudden scrutiny.
"Really? That's so cool Iggy~" England almost looked bashful at the comment turning to look at his base instead of America.
"Don't call me Iggy, idiot." he mumbled half-heartedly.
"After all he has to be able to defend his King~" France interjected.
"Huh?" America turned his attention to France again. While England teetered dangerously on his square.
"Honestly America how can you be King and not even know how this works?" China's voice cut in, half frustration and half amusement laced in it.
"Well maybe it's because I never get to move!" America reddened as he defended himself.
"Oui, oui but we are drifting from the topic at hand which is England's undying love for Amerique~" At this England proceeded to move towards France's square before he realized he'd have to cross America's first. This stopped him.
"You fucking frog, stop being so-so you!"
"My angletterre, you are so violent today." The other pieces were greatly amused at this turn of events and wondered if today would be the day their King and Queen finally admitted their feelings. The pawns on the other hand only hoped they would before they were trampled by England.
"Umm, France maybe you should stop." America didn't know what to do even though France's words did something funny to his insides.
"Very well if you think that is best, I was merely trying to explain this to you because you wanted to know. The Queen will fight until the King is taken and if that happens she, or he as it were, surrenders every time." He finished with another smirk.
"T-that's just because it's part of the game s-stupid! It has nothing to do w-with anything like you're implying!" The English piece sputtered out growing redder.
"Oh I heard that the Queen gives up out of a broken heart because the King is taken, aru…" China supplied while France burst into laughter. This time America blushed as well. Was that why England always tried to stop him from moving? He quietly, so no one would notice, edged his piece towards England's even though everyone clearly saw. The brit edged away brilliantly glowing by this point.
"W-what do you think you're doing y-you git?" he managed out.
"Umm, I'll stay here, and yeah-heh so you don't have to fight for me or anything-I mean just because heroes don't let others get hurt for them, that's all!" The piece teetered a little bit before resting next to its British counterpart.
"G-git." England managed to look bashful as he closed the distance on his own square and for once no one said a word to disturb their King and Queen.

What the fuck I'm on crack man. xD Okay back to writing things that make a tiny bit of sense. Oh and since this is epic fail the rooks are China and Russia though he didn't get to say anything… xD Also they rock themselves because in my head I basically pictured it like the coin figures except that there is a circular base at the bottom that their feet are attached to(I've thought way too much about this…) so yep. The other side is Axis and honestly if I knew anything about chess I'd probably do a sequel where they moved for my own amusement as it is I will leave it like this, unless I learn chess and then who knows~ I love doing one-shots since I rarely get to, I'm so used to doing long stories. xD Also the pawns totally turned into my favorite thing in this because their chess piece lives must really suck. xD
*Hey! Punk what are you saying over there? - something like that, even though Spanish is my first language I'm bad at writing it, since English took over pretty quickly. T.T
