Our Internet is back on. Again. *sigh*

Thanksgiving was uneventful. Thankfully! Jimmy and I boycotted the family Dramafest and went to see Beowulf, (s'alright - Angelina Jolie's mostly naked, if you like that sort of thing. Beowulf himself is all naked, if you like that sort of thing.), then at home he offered to watch Love, Actually with me - a film he's been avoiding for years now. Turns out he thought it was something else, and he really enjoyed the movie that it actually was. The same thing happened when he finally gave in and watched Buffy with me on DVD. I see it as a moral victory, (Take THAT, Unbeliever!) and you know that always makes me happy.

I broke down and baked two pumpkin pies yesterday. It is the closest thing to Thanksgiving food there's been around here, (on Turkey Day, we ate popcorn and root beer), and it was almost all I ate yesterday. So the Day of Pie was properly observed. Heh.

We are planning something more traditional for Monday. Maybe. If we feel like it. Ah, the freedom of the childless, how unfamiliar and how bittersweet!

The Sims 2 continues to be my current addiction. I made a whole house full of the characters from my werewolf story. Geekitude forever!

Oh, yeah, in keeping with my compromise of giving up on Thanksgiving and putting all my eggs in the Christmas basket, I have authorized myself to buy more Christmas ornaments than I usually would this year. I have two new snowflake ornaments (one glittery, one snipped tin), and a Miss Piggy in Christmas attire. And Jimmy picked out a red tin tube that says "Letters to Santa" on it. Oh, and there's a Christmas tree that looks like it was built out of peppermint ribbon candy ... I think that's it? Anyway, I usually only allow myself to acquire one or perhaps two new ornaments a year. I think we will put the tree up early. It's going to mean re-arranging the living room BIG TIME, but that's the price you pay for seasonal nestiness.

seasonal nestiness, jimmy, movie, seasonal, thanksgiving, blah blah blah
