Things are a little topsy-turvy over here for me. I've been working my new job for a week, and so far I've worked three graveyard shifts and two swing shifts. My hindbrain has no idea what's going on and is still trying to make sense of things.

My weekend was especially nuts, because I worked graveyard on Friday night, got off at 7 a.m., drove up to Fallbrook, worked for Gramps from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., then slept from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., got up and went back to work at 11 p.m. Then I got off work Sunday at 7 a.m., worked for them again from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., took a nap until 5 p.m., got up to go out to dinner for Father's Day. My mom took my sister, me, my aunt, and my grandfather out to dinner and then we had cake afterward. I managed to stay awake until 8:30 p.m. When I finally get to hit the sack, I slept for 12 hours.

Jimmy's new sales job is going on week 3. It's going okay. Neither one of us has received a paycheck yet, though. Looking forward to that!

The kids are very much anticipating the summer break. Jimmy's been the primary parent for the past few weeks, because he works from home and my hours are all over the place. It's weird to be relying on him for info about what's going on with them, when it was the other way around for so long. I've been relieved of a lot of responsibilities, that's for sure. Even when I'm so fatigued that I've forgotten my own name, working is substantially less demanding than "just" being a Mommy!

that's right i'm serious bitches, work, blah blah blah
