I love how I always second guess my decisions based solely on my first experiences with something, only to find that after I adjusted to it, it's actually pretty good. Take my new earphones for example. I bought them 2-3 weeks ago, and the first week or so they were pretty damn uncomfortable: kept falling off, hurt my ear if I had them on too long, seemed too bulky, etc. And now they've kind of molded into the shape of my ear (they have a kind of plastic thingy that is pretty maleable, I'm guessing this was the purpose of it.) and they don't bother me any more, they don't fall off and they work perfectly.
I think there's a lesson inside of all of this, but I'm too lazy to learn it right now, so meh.
I gave blood today. Voluntarily. I guess that's better than the alternative. One of my friends' mom had to be admitted a couple of weeks ago, and she needed a lot of blood, and it practically sucked the Blood Bank dry, so my friend started calling up everyone who she could find to replenish it. So I gave them my blood. I hope they put it to good use. I'd hate to find out that it ended up inside some emo-teen girl who thought that cutting was cool or something. I swear to God that if that happens, I will track this girl down and get my blood back. Painfully.
The nurses that were handling the whole process where idiotic and clumsy. I mean, I'm not skittish around needles at all; I've had to get blood drawn from me for various tests around 8 times between the past year and this one. But, seriously, this needle was friggin' big. You'd think she could've been a bit more gentle about it.
Anyway, I'm 425ml short of blood... so watch your necks!
