So, is getting a new iPod worth it? I mean, I got my current iPod used from my brother-in-law for $100 (which my dad paid as a gift for my birthday) back in December. It's a first-gen (one of the first that came out, he's an Apple freak :P), 4GB. I don't actually use more than 1GB myself so I guess the better option would be an iPod mini. At

I don't really know anything about mp3 players, but I can tell you that I have a Dell Jukebox 20GB something-or-other and it's been working quite well for me. They've also got, I think, a 5GB out as well, and that goes for about $200 normally (though I think right now all the players are $50 off, so it's $150). The 20GB usually goes for $250, but it's only $200 now.

Anyhow, this mp3 players has worked really well for me -- I haven't had any problems with it that I can think of. I like it because you can put all different kinds of music on it -- it doesn't have to be .mp3 or whatever, which helps a lot with putting my CDs and everything on it.

I know you're really looking for probably something cheaper, but I thought I'd recommend the Dell players just so you knew about them. Here's the mp3 players' website. :)

it makes them in to nice mp3's with playlists and names all automatically tagged.
