OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD

If I even tried to explain to you how great this week has been for me, you still wouldn't get it. Nothing can match this feeling. I want to stay here forever and ever. Even though the people reading this won't even know half the people I am about to mention, I am going to anyway. I want to say a big thank you to the following people, for making my life great...

Jude, Sam D, Laura and John (aka the Work Experience Kids), Frankie and Tiffany, Artrocker, KFC and Burger King, Kay, the giant banana on Teletext, the crazy Brazilian man, The Cribs, The Kills, Bloc Party, Russell's mum, my mug, Alex Zane, Ray, Editors, Jude (again) and Hannah, KoKo and the ticket man who let us in, Chineapple, Twisted Charm, Louie, our new friend Karen, Russell from BP again, Battle, farmer boy, The Cribs again, the drunk man and the taxi driver. You people have all contributed to the happiest week I have ever had.

So much has happened this week. I want to go into detail but I can't. Especially as I already wrote out this post and it was about 5 pages long and I lost the whole thing. I can’t be bothered to do it again. Basically, Monday night went to see The Features with Jude, where we met Work Ex. Kids, who were lovely and gave us free CDs, and Frankie and Tiffany. Frankie and Tiffany were very annoying but they bought my spare BP tickets from me so I love them for it. Jude and I didn't go to the gig in the end but we got some very tasty junk food on the way home and it was all very good.

Tuesday I was panicking a bit because I didn't know if Kay was coming but she did and it was brilliant. That is the best gig I have ever been to. During the day we watched the kids' section of Teletext, which was great because James was on it! Well, a banana but y'knooow. Then in the evening we spent some crazy time trying to get alcohol and eventually got the crazy Brazilian man to but it for us. He was very funny but a bit odd. He surprised me a lot when he kissed me on the cheek. The lead singer of The Cribs and thought they were very good. I love The Kills on record and live they were good but the lead singer looked like she was having an epileptic fit most of the time, a little off-putting. Kay and I were feeling a bit silly, so we shouted WATFORD along to one of their songs. Man, we must have looked so cool. Then the DJ played some music so Kay and I funky danced to Tom Vek and then Love is a number - White rose movement came on and I made Kay help me spell out LOVE with our hands, for no reason. And Kay did some reggae dancing and the two black people behind us were not impressed...then Bloc Party came on and from then on it was the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. The music was fantastic, so atmospheric and full of feeling. The band are so lovely to the audience and very funny. Overall the feeling was one of complete joy, on-stage and in the audience. Seeing Russell beaming was a beautiful thing and we met his mum because she walked along the front. I shouted after her "YOU'RE THE GREATEST WOMAN THAT EVER LIVED!" and the guys beside me said I was scaring them and they wanted to move away. They played one official encore and when they went off-stage Kay and I could see where they were standing so I shouted for Gordon’s attention and waved madly at him. He waved back in an oh-god-what-the-hell-are-you-doing? kind of way. It was funny. They also played an un-official, un-planned encore, which was amazing because you could tell they only did it because they loved playing and the audience reaction so much. And Russell started a fake snowball fight with the confetti that was left on-stage after they played Helicopter and The Pioneers. It was so amazing. After the show we both bought t-shirts and I bought a mug. I love my mug. It is seriously the coolest thing I have ever owned. I hugged it all the way home and put my face in it, haha.

On Wednesday me and Kay went to Camden for the Bamboozle recording. We had brekkie at KFC. Healthy stuff. I kept making Kay walk around outside Traffic offices with me incase John (work ex. kid) came out, but he didn’t. Then we went to Bamboozle and then man who warms up the audience was hilarious. Then Alex Zane came on he is buff stuff 4eva. In Kay’s words, I spent the rest of the show gawping at him. He is so funny though. And we met him afterwards and I asked him to shake my hand because it is my celebrity hand i.e. it hah touched Russell’s hand, his and later that night would touch Editors. He shook my hand and then said that he loved Editors and could have my hand afterwards and I said no but I swear if he had looked at me any longer with those beautiful eyes I would have cut my hand off right there and given it to him. So then me and Kay alwaked past Traffic offices a bit more, to no avail then found a café and sat in and sung Disney songs. Then we met Ray and went to buy a thingy. Wish I could be more specific but I can’t think what it is called. Then we walked back to the café and Laura (work ex. kid) was standing outside the tube so I spoke to her and she said she was going to the Editors signing later so I said I’d see her there. Then we sat in the café for about half an hour then went our separate ways. I went to the signing and I couldn’t see Laura there, but John turned up which made my day because I had been stalking him all day, heh. He has a girlfriend…but anyway. Editors were really good but I didn’t stay for the signing. When I was talking to John he said he was going to see The Cribs the next night at KoKo and I knew Jude and Hannah were already going so I decided to bop along. And when I asked my mum about it she even said I could come home when it ended at 2am. Never did I think I would hear her say I could do that, it was amazing.

So, Thursday afternoon I went to Jude’s house and then we went up to KoKo and they were really badly IDing people and we saw some people get turned away so we weren’t very confident about getting in. But by some remarkable stroke of luck this man came out and asked if anyone was buying tickets on the door and we said we were so he guided us in to the box office straight past the bouncers so we got in. It was a bit shit though. Most of the time they played really bad music between bands that we couldn’t dance to (we love to dance) and the sound was up too loud and you couldn’t get yourself heard. It was also full of fucking scenesters, who I have had enough of. They all pretend to know each other and only wear vintage cloths and have crazy hair and too much make-up. At one point we got bored so decided to take the piss out of them. Jude and I put sunglasses on indoors (yes, they really do that) and danced around like twats. Some people thought we were being serious though, fools. I guess we make good scenesters when we try, although we weren’t dressed the part. I did have fun singing along to ‘Fuck Forever’ though, Hannah and Jude disowned me because I knew all the words =( We also went off the work ex. kids because they were a bit rude. John came over and said hi to me, and spoke to me a bit throughout the night but he was being a bit weird. I was happy to hear Jude say today that she thought he seemed out of character because he was much more friendly on Monday. At one point he was just walking round and round and I asked if he had lost his friends and he said no. So I asked why he was walking around and he just shrugged and carried on walking. Ho hum. Laura was rude though. She didn’t even come over to say hi, just waved from a distance. She had said to Jude on Monday she would bring her The Raveonettes album and took her number over and everything, so she did kind of owe Jude an apology as she didn’t have it but hey. The next bit is the best though so it gets a paragraph of it’s own…

We were just standing there when a girl came up to us and started chatting away saying she thought we were cool and was also bored of the scenesters. I wasn’t really paying attention then this boy walked past. My first thought was ‘ohmygod it’s Russell from Bloc Party!’ then I caught myself on and thought no. But I told everyone I had seen a boy who looked just like him and Karen said it was him and he was here tonight, at which point I freaked out completely. So I went over to talk to him alone and I expected him to be a bit cagey because his shyness is well-documented but he actually smiled at me like he was happy as I was talking to him so I said thank you for the show on Tuesday, it was the best gig I had ever been to and he said no problem, thanks for coming down. Then was like holding both my arms really oddly so I just hugged him and he hugged me back then I was in such shock I actually just walked off which must have seemed a bit weird. I was so happy though that I ran around the floor about 10 times, did some manic dancing, clapped, sat down on the floor and slapped my face a lot. Jude and Hannah were amazed I had talked to him but were a bit like ‘pull yourself together’. I don’t really care that the night wasn’t very good because that made up for it totally. We left early because we wanted to make the last train at 1.08 and because we were tired and bored by then. On the way out a really drunk man started talking to me…

man: Hey! Where are you going?

me: Home…

man: Y’know…you are a REALLY good looking girl, you should stay and have a boogie

me: I want to make last train…

man: Are you American?!

me: No, I want to make last train

man: You want to make love to men?!

me: No, last train

man: ok shameeee bye.

It was very funny but I guess you probably had to be there. So we went home and stayed the night at Jude’s and then this morning I came home to my Dad’s where I still am now, busy writing this. I know I said I couldn’t be bothered to write it out again but it seems I can. Because I want to remember all of this! I hope this happy feeling never ends =)
