On the white sandy beach...

So, I'm frustrated.  I am having to work both days of the air show, quite possible my favorite event of the summer.  Grr.  Well, it's raining today and at least I can say I'm inside and dry.  Work is going well, they've extended my contract though till November and as long as a shareholder with similar skills doesn't swoop in, the job will be mine for keeps by then.  Fingers crossed.  Monica's working hard, she just got a raise even though there's no real amount they could pay her for all she does at that place.  I worked with her for a couple of days and realized, I married She-Ra.  You remember She-Ra don't you?  She was a bad-a.

I'm desperately trying to sell my saxophone.  I talked to the Music Man dude a couple of times (no bad talking them, he was way more helpful than he needed to be) and told me that if it was his sax, he wouldn't sell for less than $750.  I thought that was funny because when I put a $400 reserve on eBay, no one bit.  I posted it again, this time with free shipping and no reserve, but the minimun bid is $450.  I don't know, I think that's fair.  So, if he would sell it for $750 I'd like to know to whom.  He even said if the store owned my sax in it's current condition it would sell for $1000.  Ug!!!!!  Oh, why do I want to sell so bad you ask?  Direct your gaze to this beauty... The Bushman Jenny Tenor.  Yeah, it's sweet, I know.  It's amazing how vast the ukulele subculture is, even amoung the haoles (which, incidently, I found means "mythical creature with no soul")

Monica and I are trying to plan a february Kauai adventure.  I really hope this one works out as I would love to get back to Hawaii.  Her parents are planning on meeting up with us, but I doubt we'll stay with them the whole time.  Just being out of Alaska for part of february is exciting!  Until then we will just keep working on the house.  ;-)
