Japanese Class
Today we had to read and practice a dialogue in class that had one person saying "Boku..."
Me: Sensei, I know I'm female, but can I still use "boku"?
Sensei: Ah... everyone, Cherie-san has asked me a good question. Don't use Boku if you are female. (Me in the background: I want to use it anyway, I want to use it anyway...)
Sensei: No, no, you can't
Me: *fist closed* okay then, I'm going to use "Ore"
(My conversation partner Tori bursts out laughing...)
Everyone else didn't get the joke.
Anyway, we volunteered to say the dialogue as an example to the class. I was a good girl and used "watashi"

In other news, I've got a Japanese grad student who's willing to talk to me in Japanese ;) I've arranged to meet her on Monday. She's a linguistics student. Only problem is that I don't know what I want to talk about.
Oh and Ochame... Hee hee hee about Isshin. And we use Anime-suki for stuff. I guess now that the Bleach filler is over I might start getting desperate enough to watch stuff raw.
