Nervous... & excited?

So, we have our big ultrasound on Monday and I'm REALLY excited but a bit nervous too. I only feel the little bugger move very rarely, like once every couple of days, and with my past experiences and the new experience with the diabetes... My blood pressure is just rising and rising. I don't know if I'd be so nervous if they hadn't put me on insulin immediately, it's kind of freaky. I feel kind of silly expressing my nervousness in any way but I just want to have a healthy baby so I keep putting on a brave face because positive thoughts bring about positive results, don't they?

As for the diabetes, I've likely had it for a couple of years and it's extremely unlikely that it is just the gestational variety. Soooo, this means I'll quite probably have to continue with the insulin after baby comes. Heh, it's just a lifestyle change at this point. My diet has changed dramatically in the last 2 1/2 weeks (and boy oh boy is it actually saving us some money!!!). My carb intake has decreased exponentially and now I have to eat meat/protein daily (I'm not much of a meat eater, love it, but didn't need it) which makes hubby happy :) It's a good thing that my tastes have changed, as I edge to 30 this year, because I'm LOVING my salads! Since they're leafy greens, mostly, they don't effect my blood sugar very much at all. Yay :)

Our tax return came in this morning (SWEET!) so we're going in to put a deposit down on a new apartment. We can't move till the end of March (stupid lease!) but this new place will put a hold on an apartment for us which is awesome!!! The new place is a townhouse apartment, split level, with a neighbor on the side only... That means no 300lb stompers above us anymore! Let's just say that the neighbor induced sleep dep SUCKS! But the best part... full size washer and dryer in unit! Score! It's been 13 years since I've done my laundry somewhere other that a public laundry. That's right, I said 13 years. I'm excited about the move and can't wait for March to get here so we can get out.

Anyway, that's it for now... thanks for perusing the run on rambling :)
