Okay, so I have started on the Halloween costume!
So here is what I have so far, and you can get an idea where I'm going with this. From looking at pictures, I've decided that the jaws and the back crest need to be about the same width/angle/length, which will be a pain for me, because I'm not very good at eyeballing that kind of thing. But I can get it close enough, I think. I need to alter the top jaw and the crest, because as you can see, they are currently super wide.
I'm going to go with the mouth open and gaping, so my face will be visible between the jaws. It's a night parade, so I'm not really wanting to wear a black stocking over my face or something like that, especially if I will be on wheels [not yet decided]. I suppose I could stretch a black stocking the back of the "throat", maybe with just eyeholes? Cause I will need a clear field of vision, either way. Although I will probably go ahead and wear a black stocking or something around my neck, at least.
I'm going to make up my face/hair so when I take the head off, I look like the regular Janie doll. That's easy enough, though.
The helmet was three bucks at the thrift store, the jumper and shirt were a buck a piece, I already had the duct tape and the boxes were free. So far, have spent $5.00 !
All advice welcome, of course!
